So you want me to write about my favorite thing, eh? I have often wondered what the proper answer is to this question. Does one go heavy? Or does one stay light? Is there a right answer? Is there a wrong one?

I know that many people would tell you that you are supposed to say, "I am my favorite thing."
- I can see most of my pragmatic friends saying that as a response.

Some would suggest that God is unquestionably the most important thing in life.
- Definitely what my abuelita (g-ma) would say if she was here.

Others likely, not even thinking to dive so deep, could choose instead to pick a tangible thing.
- Something like a new iPhone or iPad or iThing or even the greatest football team on Earth: the Green Bay Packers.

But I can assure you that while all the above responses are not 'wrong,' and that they honestly may have all actually been my answer at some point in my life (especially, the Pack) I have never been more certain about what to say right now when asked.

And none of those are it.

Having welcomed new Pippin to the world, there is no doubt that my absolute favorite thing in the world - without question! - is my little 1-year old son, Jaxon. Nothing I have ever been a party to has ever given me as much pleasure than when I see the little guy happy; to hear his bird-like giggle; to kiss his world-record chubby cheeks; and, to watch him experience so many things for the first time ever.

And, to be honest, I don't think it is going to change for a very, very long time.
